Notes on family systems, loyalty, and the agreements nobody remembers making.
Every family runs on agreements. Very few of them were written down, and almost none were consciously accepted.
Ancestral work does not blame a lineage. It reads it — the loyalties, the omissions, the roles that keep being filled by whoever is nearest.
Naming the agreement is usually enough to stop repeating it forward.
